OPERATIONS

Operations are how things get accomplished in the organization

WE ANALYZE WITH YOUR PEOPLE HOW TO OPTIMIZE CORE, ENABLING AND SUPPORTING PROCESSES

We start by working with you and your people to develop an enterprise diagram of your organization.  This includes the current strategies, customers, products, services, and processes employed in the organization. It includes cost and other key metrics.

Initially the diagram will focus on the current state.  Later,  it will be modified to align the the updated strategy.

The diagram will help us to understand what operations are core or provide value directly to the target customers.  It will show us what processes are enabling - or  directly support the output of the core processes.  It will tell us what processes are supporting.  When possible, we will compare our performance with industry best practices to see where the gaps are.  The updated enterprise diagram will help us to know what to invest in, reduce, stop doing, and outsource.

OPTIMIZE OPERATIONS

We will start by drilling down and improving operations where it matters most.   The most important objectives of operations are to produce output that meets needs, on time, and within cost objectives.

We'll review the flow, lay-out, costs, cycle time, productivity, efficiency, quality, and capacity of the operations.  We determine how to optimize output, and where and how to eliminate waste – e.g., unneeded movement, waiting, overproduction, defects, inventory, and extra processing.

Below are examples of areas where we have improved profits:
